FEEDING SCHEDULES for the Large Breed Chow Chow puppy
5 weeks of age- A pup will usually eat almost 1 cup A Day at this age. Increasing at a regular rate, as they grow daily. You are purposely measuring the food during this time of early growth and development.
1st meal- about 1 cup of food is mixed each morning with something moist and tasty". Offer to the puppy after 1st potty break. Immediately after waking (don抰 take the time to get dressed, too late!) Then remove after about 5 minutes. 2nd meal- again given to the puppy after warming and just after last potty break, just as you are leaving for work. You may slip the pup A favorite toy at this time, to prevent separation anxiety. When you arrive home you will NOT go to the puppy first, Unless it needs an immediate potty break. Relax! 3rd meal- Take away favorite toy and again measure food, adding moist & tasty and dry if needed and picking up after 5 minutes. 4th meal- Warm food given before dinner and DO NOT allow food from hand to pup from the table (table scraps should be used as Moist and Tasty, Including greens, breads & fruits.) Is it good for you?
Final meal- Give pup enough plain dry to see it through the night.
7 weeks of age- A pup will usually eat about 1-2 cups a day at this age. Increasing amount at a regular rate, as they grow. You are still measuring the food during this time of early growth and development.

Final meal- Give pup enough plain dry to see it through the night.
9 weeks of age-A pup will usually eat about 2-3 cups a day at this age. Increasing amount as needed. Give more as needed. Measure if unsure.
1st meal- about 3 cups of food is mixed each morning with something moist and tasty. 2nd meal- After relaxing, Take away favorite toy and again measure food if unsure, adding a little moist & tasty and dry if needed and picking up after 5 minutes. 3rd meal- Warm the food given before dinner. Pup just ate It is NOT starving!
Final meal- Give pup enough plain dry to see it through the night.
12 weeks of age-A pup will usually eat about 2-4 cups a day.
1st meal- about 3 cups of food is given DRY, each morning. 2nd meal- after relaxing, Take away toy, adding DRY if needed. 3rd meal- Warm food given before dinner, adding a little moist & tasty and dry if needed.
Final meal- Give pup enough plain dry to see it through the night.
16 weeks of age- A pup will usually eat about 3-4 cups a day.
1st meal- about 4 cups given DRY, to the pup, as you are leaving for work. 2nd meal- given before dinner, adding any moist & tasty and dry if needed. Final meal- Give pup enough plain dry to see it through the night.
6 months of age- A pup will usually eat about 3-5 cups a day.
1st meal- about 4 cups given DRY. 2nd meal- given before dinner, adding anything needed. Final meal- Give pup dry to see it through the night.
1 year of age- A pup will usually eat about 4-5 cups a day.
1st meal- about 5 cups given DRY. Final meal- given before dinner, adding anything needed. Chow Chow Dog will eat less & gain weight.
Problem Puppies

1. Purchase a tube of Nutrical Paste & don抰 let it worry you.
2. Become gourmet chefs for your Chow Chow Dog by boiling chicken or hamburger (Rice can be added for diarrhea) DON扵 complain of diarrhea if using canned Chow Chow Dog food! Add cottage cheese, yogurt, or other Moist and tasty. Warm the food. Each pup has own level of resistance (Keep it alive!)

Try a game of toss and catch.
Fill a dry plastic bottle and let them aerobic while they eat.
Give Carrots, celery, apples and other natural goodies.
But I want to eat my feces!
